Business Coaching

How do you keep your best talent? And keep your clients happy too?

In a fast-changing world with societal and political insecurity, climate change causing fear and uncertainty, where sustainability is high on the agenda and DEI (diversity, equality and inclusion) is thankfully a requisite, clients increasingly demand the same integrity, authenticity and responsibility from their agencies as their consumers do from them.

Clients want to understand and align with the values, mission and purpose

of those they do business with.

For young apprentices and talented graduates, seasoned professionals and experienced leaders alike, working with a confidential listening and thinking partner can be profoundly positive and impactful for individuals, the business, and your clients.

Once the reserve of C-suite and fast-track development programmes, when coaching is made available for people at all levels of the organisation, it can generate huge ROI across a business - financial, reputational and in employee and client loyalty.

Gen Z Talent

Gen Z (13-30 years) now forms a large cohort in the media and creative industries, particularly in agencies.

Yet, Gen Z employees are the least engaged generation at work according to recent research from consultancy Gallup.

Sir Cary Cooper, Professor of Organisational Psychology and Health at the University of Manchester, says that Gen Z employees are 'questioning the value systems of the previous generations and wanting to work for organisations that actively prioritise workers.’*

Businesses are increasingly implementing coaching as a cost-effective way to support Gen Z employees.

Positioned and recognised as a ‘benefit’ at every level in the workplace, companies are using coaching as a tool in their employee engagement and retainment toolbox.

The Value of Investing Today in Tomorrow

Give your future talent the skills and self-awareness to be brilliant leaders - long before they aspire to senior leadership positions or the board

Developing younger staff is an investment in the future of
your business, and in them

Helping develop greater self-awareness, confidence, recognition of strengths and areas where they need to improve, consciousness of how they interact with each other, has a positive return on their relationship and management skills with clients and stakeholders

Helping them to understand and practise the power of active listening, improve the quality of their thinking enhances their creativity and strategic skills

Empowering and motivating the individual brings massive benefit to the team and the business: The best version of individuals brings the best version of a team

This in turn leads to better staff morale, staff retention and growth in experience and skillset. Relationships being key

Which of course impacts on the client. Better relationships. Better conversations with clients. Better delivery of what they need.

Generates business growth and increased profitability!

Group Coaching

Cost is often cited as a factor as to why junior execs and middle managers don’t get

access to external coaching. Group Coaching is an affordable and scalable option for

organisations, from small to large.

Group Coaching enables a number of people to receive coaching at the same time, and around a similar theme. Virtual coaching on Zoom or Teams works as well as in-person.

I work with you to develop tailor-made themes which will best serve the needs of the individuals and the businesses to drive improved internal understanding of each other, ‘unblock’ situations and generate new routes to creativity and good thinking.

I can bring coaching skills, mentoring or consultancy – depending on what you need

and what we agree to as we set up the process, and review along the way.

Key Benefits

COLLABORATION

Bringing together employees from different teams, and from different functions or business units, can help cross functional understanding, collaboration and build a sense of team across the wider business. It’s also fun and inspiring!

ALIGNMENT

Coaching facilitates the sharing of experiences, support, challenge and solutions between the group.

NETWORKS

Safe and confidential environment, group members develop trust, new interests and start to build a network of strong relationships in the organisation. The group will learn techniques they can share with their teams and the wider business.

Senior Leaders

The most successful, determined people - from athletes to senior execs - know that coaching empowers them. It gives them focus, confidence and an edge.

Coaching is first and foremost a thinking partnership between client and coach.

Working with senior leaders at large corporate organisations I have learned, as many leaders discover, that the higher they rise in an organisation, the lonelier it becomes.

They are expected to lead and guide and to make frequent, often rapid decisions, which affect the success of the organisation. But, under the constant pressure and demands of leadership, they sometimes don’t have time to step back and think clearly and consciously about the decisions they must make.

The weight of responsibility for everything and everyone can lay heavy on their shoulders. However senior the leader, they are also human beings with worries and insecurities of their own. There is often no one they can express their own concerns to – as this may show a lack of leadership, ability or resilience to their team. Building trust and empathy, listening not telling, is the key to a successful coaching relationship with any client.

Leaders with whom I have worked know that they can talk to me, think out loud with me, and know it is safe to do so. That I will hold their  confidence. As a coach, I listen more than I speak. I ask questions which prompt challenge and change.

I stimulate thinking to help surface ideas and solutions.
